Definition from Argentum.io Web Site
Argentum was created in June 2013: Argentum is designed to be a rare commodity that is not only easily and quickly transferable, but gains value over time. The innovation doesn’t end there, Argentum is the first crypto-currency to increase transaction processing capabilities over those of Bitcoin. We wanted to create the first cryptographic currency with almost unlimited scalability; Argentum features 10MB max block size, and 100,000 signature operations per block. Even more exciting, our latest update enables Scrypt and SHA256D mining with AUXPOW support!
We want Argentum to be a long-term stable investment. We will strive to provide an alternative for people who would like diversification into less risky crypto-currency.

August 14th, 2017 Summary
It is getting difficult to find projects with active development in the ultra-micro category. As of today, ARG has a total market cap of 13 BTC according to CoinMarketCap, which is nothing in the Crypto world. I know guys with more invested in a single coin.
To be fair, Argentum doesn’t have even a good looking website at this point. It is not clear what Argentum wants to do other than be a coin that is better than Bitcoin. Most of the future plans are summed up with the tagline, “coming soon.”
They are trying to get off the ground though. It is rare to even be able to get in when an active coin is at this value. I asked the main dev to take a look at this review and received this note back from him:
Thanks for the review and constructive criticism. Mac wallet is available again. Website overhaul is in progress. Roadmap “Coming Soon” ;D
I have a busy life but I try to do as much as I can. It would be wonderful for some more devs to come aboard. Maybe once we release a basic roadmap it will spark some interest, though looking at my track record I tend to just release things with no hype involved.
Though this coin has been around a while, it is still very early, and it is really difficult to even buy any ARG at the moment unless you are willing to pay market price, which will drive the price up quickly. Since I wrote the initial review in May, the price of ARG has dropped quite a bit, but the price of BTC is up approximately the same amount, so honestly nothing has happened with the price.
I am anxious to see what the devs announce they plan to do with this coin, and to see if anyone starts working on it more regularly. I am guessing they will say the words ‘Masternode’ or ‘Segwit’, or both, and the price will go up. It is still very much a mystery, but one that is sticking around through this adversity.
I am going to try to get my hands on some ARG, but I am not sure I will be successful. Do some research and see if this is a coin that meets your risk tolerance. If you don’t mind waiting out these early days, there is a possibility of getting in now (08/14/2017) at a very reasonable price.
