WBB / Wild Beast Block

May 10th, 2017 – Version 2

The Data below is currently out of date. I am potentially going to retire this entire page as WBB comes closer to rebranding to DLS (Digital Ledger Systems) and changing their focus to become a depository for business data. Some of the information below is actually so far out of date as to be useless. Please take a look at the following link to see the newly released whitepaper for DLS with some detailed information on what they will be doing.

This is at least the third time WBB has changed direction completely, and I think DLS’s plans are a step down from what WBB had expected to accomplish in the past from a Crypto standpoint, but from a profit perspective, this plan makes more sense.

Here is the DLS Website: https://www.dlsag.ch

Warning… Everything below is out of date as of 05/10/2017 when the new Whitepaper linked above was released.

Definition from the Wild Beast Block Bitcointalk Thread

Wild Beast Block is a state-of-the-art blockchain currency that prides itself on security, speed, reliability and stability. It is a future-proof currency for the masses, with ease of use, functionality and real world applications. WBB is hand-crafted in the wonderfully picturesque and crypto-friendly countryside of Switzerland.

WBB is a self-funded development program and does not rely on ICO or pre-mine funds. Development of WBB began back in 2014, when the roadmap of what WBB should become was drawn up. It was then decided that WBB should also focus on what could be done to support endangered animals. The rest of course is history: we went with big cats! Lions, tigers and leopards.

Community Enthusiasm – 3 out of 5

  • The Slack is Regularly active.
  • The Bitcointalk thread has been shut down since March 2017 due to negativity. There is supposed to be a new thread, but it has not been created.
  • In other trading Slack channels people regularly recommend WBB.

Active Development – 3 out of 5

  • The devs are working in the background.
  • I would have actually scored the team higher, but it is difficult to tell what they are working on and what their plans are.
  • WBB is in serious need of releasing more information to the public on how everything fits together.

April 11th, 2017 Summary

Where do I start? In my opinion, there is a 50% chance this is one of the most important projects in crypto, and a 50% chance it is a complete scam. The promises made are fantastic, including an exchange to buy coins you can connect your bank account to in multiple countries outside of regulatory control. The transaction speeds advertised are amazingly fast.  It is not required to download the blockchain to use the wallet, which might make WBB more centralized than I am comfortable with.

I was creating better websites than WBB has in the year 2000 using Hotdog. Their FAQ answers no questions anyone would actually want to know answers to, and there is no Roadmap telling what they are working on or when to expect it. There is no active Bitcointalk thread or place to get current information unless you want to scroll up through hundreds of messages in Slack.

There is an association with a website called Digital Ledger Systems AG, which I do not completely understand and I have not seen explained anywhere. I did see where they are planning on rebranding.

In summary, more information needs to be shared by the Core Team. Once a product is released and does what it says it will do, that will go a long way towards answering people’s questions. When I asked in Slack for more information, the dev there told me… “we stay on Slack only,” and “for now no information should be public unless we release it. Please ensure no information from here is released.”

My recommendation…

I have no idea what to tell you. It is the ultimate risk but could result in the ultimate reward. My brain is screaming, “Nooooooo!” My wallet is screaming, “Buyyyyyyy!” There are only 2.2 million coins, so even though the price is at .35 cents, it is still very reasonable.

I would advise everyone to go do some research, but I don’t think you will actually find reliable information you can use telling you what you are getting into. You could wait for more information, but I am not sure the price is going to stay where it is. I believe there is going to be an exchange released, and people are going to trust their private banking information to it. When the exchange is working, the price is going to go up and it may be too late to buy at that point… but I don’t know the people running this exchange, and I personally am not going to trust them at first… maybe after a while. That does not mean I can’t make a profit from their efforts though. I may decide to buy with BTC I am not afraid to lose and see what happens.

I am very willing to update this page with more accurate information if someone can send me an official article or explanation that does a good job of explaining what is happening and what the future plans are.
